About me — why I run this

Vilva Athiban P B

I'm Vilva Athiban P B, an engineer from India who moved to Germany. I know first-hand how confusing the paperwork is — degree recognition, proof of funds, Anmeldung, residence-permit appointments — and how much a single missing document can cost in time.

Vilva Athiban P B is a Lead AI Engineer at Omio, building agentic AI in production. He is a conference speaker and a LogRocket author, and builds small, privacy-first apps at vilvaathiban.com.

Hodolist started as a set of city travel guides. The Germany pages and these services exist because friends kept asking me the same visa questions. The calculator and guides are free; the paid sessions are for people who want a personal review.

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee my visa will be approved?

No. Only the German mission or the immigration office decides on a visa or residence permit. We help you understand the requirements and prepare a complete, consistent application, but nobody can honestly guarantee approval or processing times.

Is this legal advice?

No. Hodolist is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We share practical, experience-based guidance. If your case is complex (previous refusals, criminal records, unclear status), please consult a licensed immigration lawyer (Rechtsanwalt für Migrationsrecht).

Which service should I start with?

If you are not sure whether you qualify, start with the free Chancenkarte points calculator and then the €49 eligibility check. If you already know your route and have documents ready, the €199 application review is the better fit.

How do the calls work?

Email us with the service you want; we reply with available times and payment details, then send a video-call link. For the review, you share your documents securely before the call; we only use them to prepare your session.

Do you work with people from India and other non-EU countries?

Yes. The service is built for non-EU skilled workers, including applicants from India, who are applying for the Opportunity Card, the EU Blue Card or a skilled-worker visa.

What if I have a question before booking?
